of ASLA National Council Meeting by teleconference
November 10, 2008
ASLA (ACT) is the professional association for all those interested in, or engaged in, aspects of education in school libraries in the ACT. It aims to promote the interests of Teacher Librarians, by providing a forum for professional discussion and growth.

"Effective learners are not just those who are knowledgeable but rather they are people who are able to find and use information as required."

Visual Literacy, Libraries and the National Gallery of Australia, 16/7/2008.
 
The meeting was divided into 3 sections:
1. discussing visual literacy and what the NGA can offer schools,
2. visit to the library and an examination of its holdings, and
3. using visual literacy to examine paintings in the collection.
