ASLA (ACT) is the professional association for all those interested in, or engaged in, aspects of education in school libraries in the ACT. It aims to promote the interests of Teacher Librarians, by providing a forum for professional discussion and growth.

ASLA Teacher Librarian of the Year

This national award recognises and honours an exceptional Australian Teacher Librarian in a school setting whose professional practice has a positive impact on student achievement and information literacy.

We would like to congratulate our ASLA ACT Teacher Librarian of the Year nominee for 2010, Janice Wilson, of Lake Tuggeranong College.

The Australian Teacher Librarian of the Year for 2010 will be announced on International School Library Day in October 2010.

ASLA (ACT) 2010 Meetings:

Thursday 12th August, Creating Posters and Banners, Narrabundah College.
Friday 12th November, AGM / Xmas Gathering, venue to be decided.

Previous 2010 meetings:

Thursday 18th February, 3.30pm for 4pm start. Welcome Meeting and QTP, Scootle and LAMS Presentation, Narrabundah College.
Thursday 20th May, Exploring NLA's treasure TROVE, National Library of Australia.
